How this works

What Boxes Recycle Co. is, and what happens when you send a request.

What is Boxes Recycle Co.?
A referral service. You send a quote request for gaylord boxes, corrugated, bulk bags or pallets, or ask for an offer on surplus boxes, and we pass it to a partner supplier in our network who follows up. Quotes are fulfilled by partner suppliers.
Does it cost anything to send a request?
No. The quote request is free and there is no obligation.
Who will contact me?
A partner supplier in our network that handles the product or service you asked about.
Which areas do you cover?
Requests come from across the United States. Availability depends on partner suppliers near you and on the product.
Who sets prices, delivery and terms?
The partner supplier. Prices, delivery, warranties and returns are agreed between you and them. See our terms.

Buying boxes

Used and new gaylords, cartons and accessories.

How much do used gaylord boxes cost?
Pricing is by quote from partner suppliers. It depends on grade, wall count, size, quantity, availability and freight.
What information should I include?
Inside dimensions, wall count, grade, quantity, whether it repeats, your ZIP code and any dock constraints. A photo of the Box Maker's Certificate helps.
Should I buy used or new?
Used boxes suit many internal uses. New boxes are usually better for food contact, printed or customer-facing boxes, or a certified spec. See used vs new.
What do the grades mean?
Grades A to F describe condition, from one-trip boxes to boxes only fit for recycling. They are not standardised, so ask each supplier what theirs mean. See Grades A–F.

Selling surplus

Getting an offer on boxes you no longer need.

Can I sell my used gaylord boxes?
Reusable boxes may get an offer from a partner supplier. Send counts, sizes, condition and your ZIP code, with photos if you can.
What makes boxes more valuable?
Dry, clean, square boxes with full flaps, sorted by size, knocked down and banded on pallets.
What if my boxes can't be reused?
Clean, dry corrugated can usually be recycled. See recycling and baling.

Sizing

Getting the specification right.

What is the standard gaylord size?
48 × 40 inches in footprint, to match the common pallet, most often 36 inches tall in triple wall.
Do I measure inside or outside?
Inside, in length × width × height order. See how to measure.
How do I pick a wall count?
By loaded weight and how high you stack. Heavier, denser loads need more walls. See wall construction.
