What affects freight
Tell the supplier these and you will get a more accurate quote:
- Distance — your ZIP code and theirs.
- Form — knocked-down flat boxes fit far more per trailer than set-up boxes.
- Quantity — full truckloads usually cost less per box than smaller shipments.
- Dock — dock height, lift-gate needs, hours and whether a trailer can be left to load.
Estimate a load
This calculator gives a rough count of boxes per 53-foot trailer. It is an estimate only; the supplier confirms the real number.

Heads up: folded flat, this box overhangs a 48 × 40 pallet. It will still ship — it just needs a larger base or a floor-loaded plan. Mention it in your quote request.
Estimates only. Assumes a 53′ dry van with 630 × 98 × 108 in usable interior and a 44,000 lb payload, boxes stacked to 84 in on a 48 × 40 pallet. Real loads move with board caliper, banding and dock rules, so a partner supplier confirms the real count with your quote.
